‘You get the bill!’

Graeme Souness is happy England star Jack Grealish has taken up his offer tonight, but only if the Manchester City midfielder pays.

The Liverpool legend invited Grealish to talkSPORT after the 27-year-old responded to his criticism.

Souness had been critical of Grealish’s form and argued that he had to learn to live with any negative feedback he might receive.

But Grealish is happy to smooth things over over a drink – as long as he can get Juventus and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to join him.

“It’s great to see Jack Grealish up for a night out, what I said is something I think I would very much appreciate,” the talkSPORT host told the Daily Mail in a column.

“I think he responded by saying ‘let’s do it’, as long as he can bring Paul Pogba as his plus-one.

“Well, that’s very good to hear!” You are on Jack. If I choose the place and the wines, you bring whoever you want. And by the way, you pay the bill!

Souness was previously a big critic of Pogba during his time in the Premier League.

He has often reviewed the Frenchman’s performances in a Manchester United shirt and claimed the 29-year-old failed to live up to expectations.

After returning to Italy with former club Juventus signing a four-year deal in the summer, the midfielder has yet to feature for the Old Lady due to a lingering knee injury.

Pogba’s absence means he will miss the Qatar World Cup in November, joining international teammates Lucas Digne and Boubacar Kamara on the treatment table.

Grealish, meanwhile, is on duty in England but will return to Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues ready for the Manchester derby on October 2.
