Willie Calhoun thrives in battle for Yankees left field position

Here are some nuggets from the Yankees’ spring training on Saturday:
willie will win
Left fielder Willie Calhoun, who was fighting for a job, caught a fly ball and hit a solid home pitch that kept Danny Jansen from coming up from third.
Later, Calhoun hit a double on the right field wall. He’s 11 for 30 (.367) in the Grapefruit League.
Joshin around
Josh Donaldson, who made a nice slippery play down the field, went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts. The third baseman is 5 for 25 (.200) this spring.
Caught my attention
When Oswaldo Cabrera went from second base to first base in the seventh inning, it was his seventh position played in the Grapefruit League.
Previously, he played every outfield spot, third base and shortstop.
“We’re going to keep it at seven,” manager Aaron Boone said.
Sunday schedule
Gerrit Cole will start at 1:05 p.m. when the Yankees face the Orioles at Steinbrenner Field.
