The Hammers got off to a good start with Bowen and Manuel Lanzini, who had the opportunity to test Tim Krul from the edge of the box. Bowen’s was straight on the Norwich keeper, however, while Lanzini shot well over.

Moyes’ side controlled the first half but had to wait until the last minutes of the half for the breakthrough. Bowen, who had already seen a disallowed goal, took a lead on his man to lead the dangerous center of Vladimir Coufal in the far corner and continue his fine vein of form.

Bowen continued to trouble Norwich after the break, cutting an effort off the bar before hitting the outside of the post after beating Brandon Williams.

Norwich had no shortage of chances as Lukasz Fabianski made a superb save to push Adam Idah’s powerful strike to the post.

Moyes sent Arthur Masuaku to consolidate things after this chance, but the full-back ended up creating Bowen’s second as he stepped forward and put him on a plate for the winger to tap. The assistant’s flag was first raised for offside but VAR showed Bowen was right on.

Here’s how Jack Rosser rated the Hammers …

Largely calm before making a breathtaking stop to deny Adam Idah, swinging his powerful effort on the post. A first blank sheet for the Pole since December 12.

A welcome return to the side after missing the Leeds game. Delivered a nice cross for Bowen’s opener and was a threat throughout the right.

Did well to stop a few Norwich chances in the second half. Solid display.

Kept the Norwich front silent for the most part on the way to consecutive clean sheets.

A guaranteed return after a long absence with a back injury. Crosses were a bit finicky at times, but a huge advantage to put him to the side.
