Tensions over the Washington football team’s defense began to boil over during the team’s game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

After the team cleared another Cowboys touchdown, the NBC show revealed an incident between defensive linemen Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen on the bench. It seemed like the linemen were gathering to regroup and talk about what was going on on the defensive end of the ball when the going got tough.

Payne appeared to push and push his fingers through Allen’s head and Allen responded by throwing a punch at Payne. Allen did not connect and the two teammates had to be separated on the sidelines.

At the start of the second quarter, Washington was already behind 28-7. The defense had every reason to be frustrated, but it’s rare for teammates to come to grips with the cameras watching during a game.
