By bicycle, these two artists criss-cross the roads from village to village with their caravan which is transformed into a performance stage. For Brut, they share their way of life and their joie de vivre.

“We tried to bring the spontaneity of the street show to the city, to the villages.
Tom and Juliette are two artists who travel around France to give itinerant performances in small villages. Their caravan is both their home and a stage for shows.

It’s our house that we tow, but it’s also a billboard to say that we’re doing a show tonight. We don’t announce ourselves, we don’t have a Facebook page, we don’t have an Instagram page”. This couple of musicians crosses France in order to make representations in the villages. Most often, the people who come to see them are people they met a little earlier. “Sometimes, when we do our show, we realize that we know three quarters of the audience. ‘Cause they’re people we met on the road

We left and we built on the road. And it’s hard to find the time to work because we have to keep creating new things, we have to keep talking about our instruments.” Despite the difficulties, these traveling shows bring joy and good humor to the villages they pass through. “They arrived three days ago now. The people of the village and the tourists immediately understood that they were lovely people. And me, now, I’m sad as anything because I know they will leave in not very long”, explains a spectator.
