Valve’s Steam Deck OLED store appears to be recovering

If you’ve had trouble ordering Valve’s new Steam Deck OLED, you’re not alone. Orders opened at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, and many people experienced issues completing a purchase. A few Edge staff members who attempted to purchase a Steam Deck OLED got stuck with the device in their cart but were unable to complete payment.

A few minutes after opening orders, Recognized valve that there were problems with the payment and said he was trying to resolve them. About two hours later, at 3:11 p.m. ET, he said that “We believe we have identified the issues causing shopping cart and checkout instability on Steam.”
