The Wall Street Journal reports that:

  • President Biden considers Sarah Bloom Raskin … to become vice president of central bank oversight, the government’s most influential overseer of the US banking system
  • Biden is also considering two economists for other soon-to-be vacant Fed board seats: Lisa Cook, professor of economics and international relations at Michigan State University; and Philip Jefferson, professor and administrator at Davidson College in North Carolina.

Raskin was previously Fed Governor from 2010 to 2014.
