Things looked simple for Ferrari after securing pole at Barcelona, ​​with Leclerc taking a 13-second lead before losing power on lap 27.

The 24-year-old now finds himself six points behind defending champion Verstappen ahead of the famous Monaco Grand Prix.

The race weekend at the Circuit de Monaco is scheduled from Friday May 27 to Sunday May 29.

Qualifying will take place at 2 p.m. while the race itself will also start at 2 p.m. UK time on Sunday.

Coverage will again be on Sky Sports F1 throughout the weekend. Their coverage of Sunday’s race build-up begins at 1 p.m.

Lewis Hamilton recovered from an early puncture which left him 19th to fourth in Spain, although he later had to drop a place due to a water leak.

He said: “We made a lot of improvements to the car.

“The race pace is much, much better… the car is much nicer in the race. It is a good sign that we are heading in the right direction.
