McGregor arrived for his court appearance in style

The former two-weight UFC champion wore a three-piece navy blue suit and drove a Rolls Royce when he showed up at Blanchardstown District Court on Thursday morning.

He has given no indication of how he intends to plead the charges against him.

The judge adjourned the case until Thursday, September 8 at 10:30 a.m. while the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) reviews the case, and pending possible new charges, the court has heard.

McGregor last appeared in court on April 7 on two counts of dangerous driving on March 22.

He was also charged with driving without insurance or a license and failing to produce proof of insurance or a licence.

The UFC star was traveling in his Bentley Continental GT on the N4 west of Dublin when he was stopped by Gardai on March 22.

The 33-year-old made no comment as he walked past the gathered media as he entered the courthouse.

During his arrest in March, a spokesperson for the UFC star said: “Mr. McGregor was on his way to the gym when he was stopped by gardaí for alleged traffic violations. He passed the drug and alcohol tests taken at the station.

McGregor is currently healing after sustaining a fractured tibia and fibula at UFC 264 last July. The Irishman has recently started kicking again ahead of his highly anticipated return to the octagon later this year.

During his absence from the sport, McGregor has seriously put on weight and now plans to compete at welterweight in the future.

‘Notorious’ was recently called out by Charles Oliveira, Michael Chandler and Jorge Masvidal, but is intent on getting a shot at 170-pound champion Kamaru Usman.
