  • Tucker Carlson’s latest COVID conspiracy theory is that white people face discrimination.

  • The Fox News host submitted footage from InfoWars in an attempt to back up the false claim.

  • Carlson released a shorter version of the clip, omitting the context on the eligibility of monoclonal antibodies.

Picking up months-old material from the InfoWars conspiracy website, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made a patently bogus claim that whites are denied treatment for COVID-19 because of their race.

While Carlson has previously equated children wearing masks with child abuse and aired a conspiracy-theory-based interview with anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his January 10 segment took to a new level. of deceptive material and outright lies.

“The United States has abused racial minorities over the past centuries, they say, so whites must be suffering now,” Carlson said. “So your ancestors did bad things, or people who looked like your ancestors did bad things, so now we deny you the drugs.”

“They call it fairness,” he continued. “It’s not fairness. It’s collective punishment. It’s the North Korean standard. It’s the definition of evil.”

Streaming a shorter version of a clip that was first shared by InfoWars host Harrison Hill Smith and later posted on the plot site page, Carlson omitted the last part of the video where Smith is. says he cannot receive monoclonal antibody treatment due to his lack of underlying health issues.

With the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States, therapies such as monoclonal antibodies have been stretched in hospitals across the country. Now, the evidence suggests that two of the three monoclonal antibody treatments may be less effective against the Omicron variant.

“If you were 65, you’d be fine,” the nurse told the InfoWars host in part of the video that Carlson didn’t show. “But no, you are in good health and [have] no medical conditions, so research shows you should be able to fight COVID. “

Although the nurse gave the patient a clear answer, Carlson came to the opposite conclusion.

“So you can’t get life-saving drugs from the Texas government if you’re the wrong color,” Carlson said after airing the shortcut clip. “Think about it. “

In response to Insider’s request for comment, a Fox News spokesperson supported the host during prime time.

Tucker Carlson’s monologue cited official government documents from the FDA and health departments in New York, Utah, Texas, Minnesota as evidence for claims that non-Black or non-Hispanic COVID patients face factors adverse race-based grounds preventing them from receiving COVID treatments and other rare drugs for treatment, ”the media representative wrote in an email.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has officially said that whites are not denied antibody treatment because of their race, and neither the FDA nor any of the states Fox mentioned says “you can’t get life-saving drugs.” On the basis of race, as Carlson claims.

A CDC study released Jan. 7 explained the disparity in COVID-19 deaths by race while noting that full vaccination and receiving a booster dramatically reduces the disproportionate results.

“Population-wide data has shown COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths more common among Hispanics, non-Hispanic blacks, and non-Hispanic Native Americans or Alaska Natives than among whites non-Hispanic, ”the authors write.

After the deceptive clip aired, Carlson, for his part, said he couldn’t help himself if his viewers were left with conspiratorial thought.

“I mean, if you wanted to make the people radical, suspicious and conspiratorial – if you wanted to destroy the bonds that unite people – that’s exactly what you would do,” he said.
