Tucker Carlson has a total meltdown over Zelenskyy’s speech to Congress

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson launched a bizarre tirade against Volodymyr Zelenskyy, complaining that the Ukrainian president was “dressed like the manager of a strip club” when he addressed Congress on Wednesday.

In a historic in-person appeal to a rare joint session of Congress, Zelenskyy thanked the United States for helping his country fight the Russian invasion. As Ukraine enters a brutal winter, Zelenskyy, dressed in combat fatigues, stressed the importance of US aid to the country’s continued resistance.

Carlson was concerned about the chief’s choice of wartime attire.

“As far as we know, no one has ever addressed the United States Congress with a sweatshirt before, but they love it way more than they love you,” he told viewers. .

Throughout the war, Carlson repeatedly repeated Russian propaganda and elevated conspiratorial claims regarding American aid to Ukraine.

Unsurprisingly, he was outraged by Zelenskyy’s demand for more money and weapons, and took the opportunity to attack him on multiple fronts.

“The goal was to flatter the manager of the Ukrainian strip club and give him billions more dollars from our own crumbling economy,” Carlson said. “It is difficult, if not impossible, to imagine a more humiliating scenario for the greatest country on Earth.”

Zelenskyy’s trip comes as Republicans prepare to take control of the House of Representatives, leaving the future of US aid to Ukraine hanging in the balance. Many GOP lawmakers recently backed a resolution sponsored by far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to audit U.S. aid to Ukraine amid a surge of pro-Russian talking points from far-right figures like Carlson. Although the measure did not pass, Greene said she would reintroduce it at the next Congress.
