Trump still plans to speak at NRA convention after Texas school shooting

Former President Donald Trump still plans to address the National Rifle Association’s annual convention on Friday following the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

“America needs real solutions and real leadership right now, not politicians and partisanship. That’s why I will keep my long-standing commitment to speak in Texas at the NRA convention and to deliver an important speech in America,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social social media platform on Wednesday.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Texas Governor Greg Abbott also confirmed they would be at the rally in Houston, which came just days after the massacre that left 19 students and two adults dead.
