Trump heads to college wrestling tournament after claiming arrest is near

Former President Donald Trump was spotted at a Florida airport on Saturday – hours after shaking the nation by announcing his impending arrest.

Trump, who had spent the day cooped up at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, boarded a Boeing 757 bearing his name as he headed for Tulsa, Okla. to attend the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship, the Daily Mail reported.

It was the former commander-in-chief’s first appearance since urging his followers to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!” in a series of all-caps messages that claimed he would be arrested by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg on Tuesday.

Trump faces indictment over a silent $130,000 payment he allegedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

He insisted on Saturday that he had committed no crime.

If Trump is indicted, he will become the first president in US history to face criminal charges after leaving office.
