traders see the damage

Monday, May 23, there were 18,000 lightning strikes in France. The damage is significant for traders, and many companies will have to place their employees on technical unemployment.

In the Vienne, a mechanic notes the numerous damages. Of its 55 cars parked outside, all were hit by hail. A hard blow for its activity, because half of the damaged vehicles were offered for sale. In a large building housing several businesses, the roof has holes. All businesses are flooded, such as a fishing store. “It’s a very bad move for me because the firefighters announce that they want to close the store for safety”explains its owner.

In Vendée, the firefighters improvise roofers, because the roof of a store threatens to collapse. “The ceiling is collapsing because it’s waterlogged, so we called in the firefighters. We don’t have much choice”, explains the owner of the store. Pending the passage of insurance experts, many companies will have to place their employees on technical unemployment.
