What are the most visited tourist sites in France? Journalist Cécile De La Guérivière is present on the set of 19/20, Friday August 5, to answer this question.
Friday August 5, journalist Cécile De La Guérivière is on the 19/20 set to present the most visited tourist sites in France: “There were ten million visitors last year in the 11 French national parks. In the lead, the Calanques of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), with three million visitors. That represents 2,000 people per day and per calanque. Just behind, there is the Cévennes National Park, with no less than two million visitors.”
Hiking is attracting more and more people, as for example in the forest of Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne), with its star rocks for climbing fans. “It is the most visited forest in France, with 16 million hikers per year”, explains Cécile De La Guérivière. The Dune du Pyla, the highest dune in Europe, attracts two million tourists every year. This increase in attendance has its origin in particular in social networks, “because Facebook and Instagram are the best advertising”concludes the journalist.
