For campsites, the Ascension weekend marks the start of the summer season. To Pornichet, in Loire-Atlantiquethe oldest French campsite has become an institution for its regulars.
Since 1936, in this campsite of Pornichet (Loire Atlantique)tourists flock from let the good weather begin and this first day of the extended weekend is no exception to the rule. “It’s a nice place, close to the beach, close to La Baule”rejoices a vacationer. Some have been coming here for generations. One of them has been a regular for 68 years. Like him, many have already come, but for others, it’s a great first.
Built in 1936 by the current manager of the campsite, this place has undergone many changes to be able to perpetuate its activity. Today, the place has 300 locations. It has become, over time, a 4 star, with two swimming pools. A haven of peace for those who were lucky enough to go there on vacation, some of them now work here. The summer season promises to be good, because 3/4 of the campsite is already reserved for the summer.
