Acting ICE Director Tom Homan called “fantastic” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ decision to send migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, as more sanctuary cities face in the heat of the worsening border crisis. In “Fox & Friends First” Thursday, Homan called sanctuary cities “part of the problem” for encouraging illegal crossings with ICE protection.

MASSACHUSETTS DEMS REACT AFTER DESANTIS TRANSPORTS MIGRANTS TO RITZY MARTHA’S VINEYARD: ‘EVIL AND INHUMAN’

TOM HOMAN: I think it’s fantastic. He has to watch Fox News because last week I said let’s add Massachusetts to that list along with Philadelphia, Portland and Seattle. But I want to comment on what we just heard. They said it was inhumane. It’s cruel. They invoke religion. Look, you know what’s inhuman, what’s cruel? This is just open the borders. And these sanctuary cities encourage illegal immigration. What is inhuman is that you have over 1,300 migrants who have died on American soil since Joe Biden became president. We have over 100,000 Americans who have died from fentanyl overdoses because of the opening of the border. We have 31% of women who take this journey with the criminal cartels who are sexually assaulted. We have children drowning in the river. It’s inhumane. It’s cruel. And these shrine cities are part of the problem because they entice people to come to this country legally, to go to their city, to be protected from ICE and other law enforcement.
