Demonstrations are increasing across the Rhine. On December 26, several hundred people took to the streets of Berlin to protest against the restrictive measures taken to fight against the rebound of the epidemic, and to oppose the vaccination obligation for certain professions, in the front row from which the caregivers.

In order to slow the progression of the Omicron variant, the German government recently opted for a reinforced vaccine pass model, called the “2G +” system. Effective December 28, the contact restrictions apply throughout Germany. Inside and outside, only ten vaccinated and cured people will be able to meet together. For unvaccinated people, members of the same household will only be able to meet two other people. Nightclubs and discos will be closed. For leisure, culture and retail, the rule of 2G (vaccinated or cured) or 2G-Plus (vaccinated or cured with a screening test) will be applied. Staple shops are excluded.
