‘There’s no f****** way’ – UFC champ Aljamain Sterling shocked to hear Tyson Fury and Tommy Fury are brothers

It seems not everyone knows that WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is linked to Love Island star and boxing hopeful Tommy Fury.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling recently had a shock when he learned that Jake Paul’s August 6 opponent was a sibling to ‘The Gypsy King’.

“The Funk Master” was discussing Paul’s recently announced fight on his YouTube channel when his co-host mentioned Tommy’s brother’s gargantuan net worth, prompting a confused response from the MMA fighter.

“Who is his brother? [Tyson Fury] is Tommy Fury’s brother? There’s no fucking way,” Sterling said.

“These guys don’t look alike at all. Tommy Fury can’t lose to Jake Paul if his brother is Tyson, that would be crazy.

‘The Funk Master’ then predicted that Paul would take his perfect boxing record to 6-0, although he admitted he had never seen Fury fight.

“Tyson can break his ass. I mean, I’ve never seen Tommy fight before. Now that changes everything. It’s a good fight, Sterling said.

“Jake got in the ring and understood [ring] experience even if it’s against Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. I think there is no substitute for the value of time under those bright lights.

“Experience, nerves, all that. I think everything comes with some type of value that you get. I think that’s the difference in this fight.

“While before, if you asked me about it, I’d say ‘there’s no way [Jake Paul] win this fight, but now I’m like, ‘there’s actually a good chance he could win this.’

Sterling became the first person in UFC history to win a title by disqualification last year.

The 33-year-old was close to being stopped by Petr Yan at UFC 259 before the Russian hit him with an illegal knee that ended the fight.

In April, Sterling picked up a split decision victory over Yan in their highly anticipated rematch, but UFC President Dana White thought the New Yorker was once again in luck with the win.

Nonetheless, he remains the champion and is expected to put his title back on the line later this year when he takes on TJ Dillashaw.

A bout between the 135-pound duo is in the works for UFC 269 on Sept. 10 at a location to be determined.
