Chris Eubank Jr and Kell Brook have now agreed on a weight for their potential fight, according to Eubank Jr’s Wasserman Boxing promoter Kalle Sauerland.
The potential middleweight vs. welterweight clash has raised eyebrows among fans due to the difference between their standard divisions, but Brook has already moved up in weight.

Brook stopped Khan in six rounds
Sauerland told iFL TV: “We have ongoing discussions about what happens with Eubank’s next fight.
“We just don’t know yet, but we are in negotiations and we will see. We just have to find the right fight.
“It must be a box office [PPV] are fighting and we’re looking at the different angles there, so I can’t really comment on that right now.
“It wouldn’t make sense to be on Sky Box Office and post Eubank Jr against Joe Bloggs and have my head taken off when I walk down the road, I don’t fancy that.
“So we will have to see what is available. There are a lot of great options, but many of them are blocked at the moment.
“We are in discussions on Kell Brook, I can’t really say more at the moment.”

Eubank Jr has yet to win a bona fide world title
Brook won his world title at 147lbs and beat Amir Khan at 149lbs in his last fight.
However, he had already jumped up to the 160lb weight of Eubank Jr to take his place in a fight with Gennady Golovkin in 2016.
Many believe Brook is now best suited at around 154lbs, while Eubank Jr has suggested he could potentially drop down to 158lbs in order to make the fight possible.
They have now reached an agreement, although the details have not yet been made public.
Sauerland explained: “I understand that the weight issue was finalized last week.
“It’s a fight where of course the weight is important.

Brook went to war with Golovkin at middleweight in 2016, but was stopped in five rounds
“It has to be fair for both of them and I think there is a solution for that now.
“And then, I mean of course, it’s professional boxing, do I have to tell you what it is?
“It’s about money, that sort of thing.
“I think we have reasonable requirements for what I understand and what we think is market value.
“It is now up to the parties to find a common agreement.
“I think it’s a really big fight, I think it’s a blockbuster. Do they really want it? We’ll see.”
