32:9 and Oled: a supreme Samsung Odyssey Oled G9

This screen is long, very long: it actually has a 32:9 format. It’s as if two 27-inch 16:9 format screens were stuck together. Enough to have only one screen in your gaming setup, but still have room to display numerous windows. Especially since it is not the definition that will limit you in their size: 5120 by 1440 pixels. Moreover, Windows 11 manages this type of screen very well and placing the windows is not more complicated. Also, the refresh rate can go up to 240 Hz, ideal for very competitive games: at this speed, the latency is only 3.4 ms.

The color coverage is very good, as is the color calibration and the average color temperature. The Samsung Odyssey Oled G9 is not made for cinema video editing, but for gaming, it is at its best. As for the maximum brightness, it is quite disappointing: only 400 cd/m² maximum, when others go up to 1000 cd/m².

Finally on connectivity, this Samsung model has an HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, a microHDMI and a USB hub with three USB-C ports. And to recharge your laptop, one of the USB-C ports supports charging up to 65 W.
