The discount put in place by TotalEnergies on the price of fuel will be 12 cents per litre, franceinfo learned on Wednesday from the oil company, confirming information from the Parisian.

This discount will apply at all TotalEnergies service stations on the motorway from July 1 until August 31. It will be effective from the first liter purchased, with no limit on the amount. This concerns petrol vehicles (excluding Superethanol E85) and diesel (excluding GNR).

The TotalEnergies discount is in addition to the 18 centimes per liter discount from the State. In the end, each motorist who fills up at a TotalEnergies motorway service station this summer will therefore save 30 cents per liter including tax. This amounts to a saving of 15 euros for a full 50 liters. This rebate should affect around 17 million people, according to the oil company.

TotalEnergies is considering extending the discount beyond the summer in liaison with the government.
