2022 should be a good year for employment. Live on the 12/13 set, Wednesday April 6, journalist Sandrine Feydel details the sectors that are recruiting.
Pôle emploi predicts a record year in 2022 for hiring. “Companies plan to hire massively. (…) More than 3 million recruitment projects this year. This is 323,000 more compared to last year, an increase of +12%”explains Sandrine Feydelpresent on the set of 12/13, Wednesday April 6. For the majority of these projects, it is either “CDIs or fixed-term contracts of more than 6 months”.
Among these hires, some sectors recruit more than others. “In transportation, [c’est] +30.7% in hiring projects followed by Industry +23.8% and accommodation-catering +23.4%”continues Sandrine Feydel. The construction sector, trade and services to businesses and individuals are also actively looking for new employees. Some sectors are even afraid of not finding candidates. “These are the so-called jobs in tension, a lot of job offers but few candidates. Roofers, zinc workers, home helpers and housekeepers, pharmacists and also boilermakers and automobile mechanics”she explains. However, this Pôle Emploi survey was conducted before the war in Ukraine and therefore employers may well be less optimistic in the closegroin weeks.
