Given the excellence of previous models, it was hard to see Samsung missing out with the T9 external SSD. However, the results are not perfect, the fault of certain somewhat surprising choices. For example, we do not understand the disappearance of the IP65 certification, and we must recognize that the volume of the T9 is significantly larger than that of the X10 Pro, its most obvious competitor.

In terms of design, the T9 has a more “luxurious” appearance which distinguishes it from the X10 Pro, but which also attracts a lot of dust. On the other hand, it can count on much more complete software, while the pricing of the two models, regardless of their capacity, is virtually identical. In short, if it is extreme compactness that you are looking for, opt for the Crucial SSD, while in terms of software and elegance, the T9 is our preference.
