But some future grandparents didn’t let the rules dampen their spirits as they waited for their grandson on Wednesday.
They arrived early to install a tailgate in the Ascension Saint-Vincent parking lot, making sure the expectant parents could see them through the delivery room window, and cheered mom on all day. and I have been cheering mum all day.
“We had to get here and explore the parking lot and plan where we wanted to be and show up early and get our spot,” says Mike Gray, also known by the new title “Pappy”. “Covid protocols being what they are, we had to come forward to support our family, this is our tribe and we are here to support our family in any way we can. We love to have fun and have fun.
This is the first grandchild for both groups of grandparents, and the couples were ready to camp, complete with a pop-up tent, chairs, a camping stove to prepare lunch, and signs that parents will be. .
“We understand covid protocols, we all experience it through where we work and things like that. We are okay with that, we know everyone is trying to protect us.
