The FSB announces that it has foiled an attack by the Ukrainian services targeting the “South Stream” gas pipeline – RT in French

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation explained that it had prevented “an attempt by Ukrainian special services to carry out an act of sabotage and terrorism on the gas pipeline” on which South Stream Transport operates.

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) issued a statement on November 24 announcing that it had “prevented an attempt by Ukrainian special services to carry out an act of sabotage and terrorism on the gas pipeline” on which South Stream operates Transportation.

“FSB agents confiscated 4 magnetic mines, 4 kg of explosive plastiс, delay fuzes, 593,000 rubles and means of communication containing correspondence and negotiations with a supervisor of the special services of Ukraine, instructions for the assembly and installation of an explosive device, as well as for the transfer of funds, and the coordinates of the places of an act of sabotage in the Volgograd region”, informed the FSB, specifying that “citizens Russians involved” had been arrested.

The federal service also explained that it had “opened a judicial investigation”.
