the concern of those close to Mélodie, who has been missing for 13 days in Marseille

Mélodie, a 34-year-old mother, has been missing since November 3 in Marseille. His loved ones are increasingly worried.

But where is Mélodie? This mother of two children, who lives in Marseille, has been missing since Friday November 3. The beautician left her apartment in the evening, without leaving any trace. Since his disappearance, his relatives have posted wanted notices throughout the city, so far without success.

“We hardly sleep anymore, it’s getting complicated,” her partner, Pearl, explains to BFMTV. “I don’t know what to say to the children anymore.”

No news since November 3

On November 3, Mélodie left the family home, in the 4th arrondissement of Marseille, around 6:15 p.m., her sister explains to BFMTV. Her partner is then at work while her two children are in the family apartment.

Those close to Mélodie claim to have been able to observe video surveillance images from the building which show the 34-year-old woman leaving the building, without any particular belongings.

About thirty minutes later, at 6:43 p.m., Mélodie sent a voice note to her sister, explaining that she was out but could be reached if necessary. The latter responds to him but his message has never been read.

“Locked up” since the death of her mother”

Those close to Mélodie initially believed that the latter, who lost her mother, had gone to isolate herself. But the next day, the family still has no news, and their phone does not answer.

Mélodie’s partner explains to BFMTV that he received a last message from his partner at 5:50 p.m. on the day of her disappearance, telling her to return carefully by motorbike. The man tried to call her several times upon returning to the family home, around 7:15 p.m., but went straight to her voicemail.

“When I came home from work, she wasn’t there. I called her. The first call rang, the second call went to voicemail. That she hadn’t come back was worrying,” her husband explains to BFMTV.

A walk this Saturday

To BFMTV, the family explains that they thought they would have to wait 24 to 48 hours before reporting a disappearance so that it could be processed by the police. During the weekend, she contacted hospitals and police stations… in vain.

It was only on Monday that Mélodie’s companion went to the police station to report her disappearance. Mélodie’s partner said he was interviewed by investigators, as did the rest of the family and friends. He also explains that they did not argue with his wife and does not believe in the running away theory.

“At the beginning it didn’t move much, they (the police, editor’s note) started moving from the 11th, even though she had disappeared since the 3rd,” her husband testifies.

“It’s becoming very worrying, she left with nothing, she has no documents. (…) Three-quarters of those around us hardly sleep anymore,” he adds.

A march will be organized this Saturday from 1 p.m. at the call of the family, departing from Marseille city hall.
