Terrifying clip of LA meteorologist collapsing on live TV goes viral

A Los Angeles CBS meteorologist was hospitalized after passing out on Saturday in a terrifying moment that went viral on social media.

Meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz stunned viewers when she collapsed on live television after her KCAL co-anchors cut her off for the rain weather report in Los Angeles this week at 7:00 a.m.

Schwartz, who looked visibly pale, leaned forward and you could see her eyes rolling to the back of her head. She apparently tried to catch herself as she fell, but her head slumped onto her desk before losing consciousness and falling to the ground.

Schwartz’s co-anchors, Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim, don’t seem to be immediately aware of what happened, perhaps initially thinking that Schwartz was reacting to the upcoming weather forecast. They soon realized something was seriously wrong and told viewers, “We’re going to take a little break now.” The morning show did not return to a live segment, TMZ reported.

CBS Los Angeles vice president and news director Mike Dello Stritto told the outlet that Schwartz’s colleagues rushed to call 911 and she was being treated at a local hospital, but did not give a call. more details on what had caused him to collapse.

Schwartz posted on Facebook on Sunday, “Thank you for all your well wishes as I recover from a head injury. I’m out of the hospital and doing fine. Lots of sleep and even pizza – TY.” It is not known if the collapse was caused by a head injury or if she suffered a head injury as a result of her fall.

“I appreciate all the prayers while I recover,” she wrote. “More soon…”

TMZ reported that Schwartz suffered another medical incident in 2014 while working on another network when she allegedly vomited live on set during a weather report and was later diagnosed with a leaky heart valve.
