Tennessee authorities said a shooting incident in downtown Chattanooga left several people injured, according to reports.

The exact number of victims is not yet known at this time, but the Chattanooga Police Department said the victims were believed to be young and teenagers or under the age of 20, WTVC reported.

CPD officers also speculated that the victims of the shooting may have been bystanders, as large groups of minors were spotted in the area and the victims were not directly involved in the incident, according to the report. .

A person of interest has been arrested and police say there is no longer a threat to the public.
