Charges were dismissed against a Walkertown, North Carolina man who allegedly committed sex acts with dogs after being charged in federal court on Winston-Salem Diary reported Thursday.

Timothy Lewis Blackmon, 43, faced numerous felony charges earlier this year.

However, Assistant District Attorney Mark Parent dismissed the charges last month. Indeed, the suspect was indicted by a federal grand jury in July on one count of possession of child pornography and another count accusing him of selling video footage of a man performing a sex act with a dog.

The outlet shared an image of the suspect on Thursday and said the videos allegedly sold for $5:

Meanwhile, co-defendant Tracy Lynn Abbott pleaded guilty in August to two counts of nature crimes, the Log follow-up report:

During his plea hearing, Parent said Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies received a tip on March 21 that a Forsyth County resident was using a phone messaging app to sell videos of himself participating in sex acts with dogs. According to search warrants, a New Jersey man was on the cellphone messaging app Kik at 10 p.m. on March 20 when he watched a live stream featuring a user posting home videos of himself performing sexual acts with his dogs. The user said in the live stream that the videos showed a dog performing a sex act on the man and the man performing a sex act on another dog, according to search warrants.

Kik is considered dangerous because users can remain completely anonymous, Social Media Today reported in 2016.

“Over time, there have even been several reports of the app being used to commit heinous crimes,” the outlet said.

According to Log article, Abbott allegedly deceived Blackmon. He then made her perform the sexual act with the animal “to compensate for the deception”, according to the Winston-Salem Diary. Two dogs were eventually seized and then turned over to officials from the Forsyth Humane Society.

Meanwhile, Blackmon was being held in federal prison after being sent to a state prison “on a custody order because he attempted to harm himself by ingesting foreign objects,” the outlet concluded.

A similar case occurred in August when a Florida woman was accused of performing sexual acts with her dog while her ex-boyfriend allegedly recorded it, Breitbart News reported.
