Storms: in Corrèze, two people seriously injured by a falling tree

On the evening of Tuesday August 16 and the following night, violent storms fell on a large part of French territory. In Corrèze, two people were seriously injured in a campsite. A tree fell on a caravan and two tents. The vital prognosis of one of the two victims is engaged.
On the morning of Wednesday August 17, in the small municipal campsite of Collonges-la-Rouge (Correze)it is the shock after the drama which took place during the previous night. At around 2:30 a.m., a tree collapsed on a trailer and two tents, alerting some campers. “Around 5 a.m., we heard the chainsaw, I went out, and then there, we saw the flashing lights of the firefighters, and we saw that the trees had fallen on the caravan”says a vacationer.
To the interior of the caravan se found a 79-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman. They were seriously injured. The vital prognosis of the woman is always engaged. They are both cared for at the hospital center in Brive-la-Gaillarde (Correze). A judicial inquiry has been opened to confirm that the bad weather of the night is indeed the cause of the fall of the tree.
