Conte says Spurs qualifying for the Champions League would be a ‘miracle’

Aston Villa against Tottenham: what was said?

Tottenham fan Darren Ambrose believes that with smart transfer activity this summer, a rejuvenated Spurs could potentially become the title challenger next season.

He told Drive Time: “I’m going to throw something here. I will probably be ridiculed and mocked.

“Next season, if Conte stays, [Harry] Kane stays, with [Cristian] Romero and some acquisitions, they will be difficult [for the title].

“Only because [Rodrigo] Bentancur entered, [Dejan] Kulusevski arrived, no one really thought they were going to start like they did, so it shows what type of player he will attract to the football club.

“Change a few players, three or four, maybe five players – he’ll have his eye on some of them already. Brilliant manager. Born winner.

“I’m not saying they’re going to win [the title] but tougher than they are this season.
