Years after its announcement, Star Citizen is getting closer and closer to its official release. Despite numerous delays, is it still possible to take the ship in 2023?
Star Citizen, the game from Cloud Imperium Games, is still in development but it is playable in alpha access. Many years have passed since its announcement ten years ago at the Game Developer Conference. The title, which started with crowdfunding where it raised more than $600 million, is on the right track. During the last “Citizen Con 2953” (October 21 and 22), the developers showed us major advances that delighted the players. Is it still possible to start exploration in 2023? In Star Citizen, it is possible to play solo, but the experience can be difficult, as there are so many possibilities. It is therefore advisable to start with the help of a person who knows the various mechanics. To do this, it is possible to join one of the countless guilds or ask a friend. In both cases, this boost will be significant. For example, the number of shortcuts the game has is impressive and the tutorial only teaches the basics of gameplay. Indeed, in Star Citizen, you have to know your ship like the back of your hand. In terms of space, it is better not to buy the packs which give access to more powerful cabins, but first to familiarize yourself with the basic one. Not to mention that you will need a robust configuration. If you want to game comfortably, your PC should have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5 12400 CPU, with 16 GB Ram or more, a 2060/2070 graphics card and 100 GB of space on the SSD.
