Star Academy 2023: New candidate eliminated after Louis, tears but no surprise

This Friday, November 17, and not Saturday because it is the French football team which will be on the program tomorrow evening on TF1 (match against Gibraltar), took place the third bonus of this 2023 edition of the star Academy. The three candidates who risked elimination this evening were Lola, Marie-Maud and Victorien. They were all keen to convince Michaël Goldman and the teaching staff in order to save their skins. The verdict finally came, and turned out to be a surprise / and was ultimately rather predictable.

First of all, note that James Blunt, the godfather of this eleventh season, sang his flagship title You’re Beautiful alongside young Candice. The latter was applauded for her performance. Patrick Bruel was also there. Oscar and Léon’s dad covered his song I will lie to you, in duet with Héléna. As for Lénie, she delivered a great performance with the Belgian artist Mentissa, finalist of The Voice, by covering her famous song And bam. Another star present this evening: Soolking. The rapper was accompanied by Clara, with whom he sang his song Suavemente. Finally, Isabelle Adjani shared the stage with Pierre, to perform Drafts.

But the pressure was not on them this evening. But on Lola, Victorien and Marie-Maud. The latter sang Make you feel my love of Adele. As for Lola, she offered her version of Artist life from La Zarra. Finally, Victorian resumed Cast by Christophe Maé. Everyone did their best to avoid leaving the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys at the end of the prime.

The tension was palpable when Nikos Aliagas grabbed the envelope from the bailiff, which therefore contained the name of the second, or the second candidate eliminated from the season. It was Victorian who was saved by the public. So only Maire-Maud and Lola remained. And it was ultimately Lola who was eliminated, with 2 votes against 4 for Marie-Maud. Her performance was judged to be less qualitative than that of Marie-Maud. Which could be predictable, since Lola has not been spared from criticism since her entry into the competition. She is therefore eliminated, after Louis last week. She was obviously very sad about this outcome and couldn’t hold back her tears after her elimination…
