BEVERLY HILLS – West Hollywood, in Southern California, is reportedly considering raising its minimum wage to $ 17.64 an hour – which would be the highest in the country.
The city is adjacent to Beverly Hills.
This would be more than $ 4 more than the current state minimum wage for workers in small businesses, which is $ 13. Companies with more than 25 employees must pay at least $ 14 per hour. The state’s minimum wage will increase by $ 1 in January and reach $ 15 an hour for small businesses by 2023.
