Some Taylor Swift Fans Really Hate Jack Antonoff Collaboration


After the release of his 10th studio album, Midnight, Taylor Swift fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with many calling out Jack Antonoff for his involvement in the production.

Antonoff, who is the lead singer of The Bleachers as well as a popular collaborator and producer on albums by Lorde, Carly Rae Jepson, Lana del Rey and Florence and the Machine, to name a few.

Antonoff has previously worked with Swift to produce his albums 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore and Still.

But even with his hits, Antonoff has come under fire from fans who say he took artists’ songs and gave them all a similar pop sound.

“Visceral Hate”

Thousands of users took to Twitter to share their opinions, and while some loved her production style, thousands more said Swift’s album would have been better off without Antonoff.

“I’m able to instantly detect if Jack Antonoff worked on a song due to a visceral hatred of his production style,” the user said. @calebgamman tweeted.

Other users wrote on Twitter that they wanted the album to feature only Swift’s creative input.

“If someone could please make an edit of Midnights that filters out all of Jack Antonoff’s picks I would be very grateful,” user @AyeshaASiddiqi wrote.

“Please artists, I implore you to hire anyone other than Jack Antonoff to produce your album.” @Nina_Corcoran wrote.

“As a certified Jack Antonoff fan, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think him and Taylor should stay away from each other for a while, this is getting boring,” user @gyllenhag wrote.

But even with negative reception, many Swifties were happy with the collaboration, with many taking to Twitter to personally thank Antonoff.
