It’s official: “America’s Got Talent” has crowned a winner.
After the top 11 artists took to the stage the night before, Wednesday’s live two-hour finale was filled with filler, plus an ungodly amount of commercial breaks, as viewers waited patiently for host Terry Crews to announce the results.
As usual, judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel watched but had no say in the results, which depended on the American vote.
Ahead of the results, teen singer Sara James, who scored Cowell’s golden buzzer, stuck with the Black Eyed Peas; country trio Chapel Hart, a Golden Buzzer special, received a holographic message from country star Tanya Tucker; and pole dancer Kristy Sellars joined forces with Golden Buzzer the Mayyas from Vergara, an all-girl dance group from Lebanon, for a short and sweet dance routine.
