Sofia Vergara Shares ‘Modern Family’ Reunion Photo Without Ty Burrell

The cast of Modern family reunited, and it feels good.

The Dunphy-Pritchett-Tucker clan has remained close even without the cameras rolling — just check out their social media. And now, Sofia Vergara has proven it by re-uploading various photos of the sitcom’s cast for what she called the “premiere.” Modern family meeting.”

But eagle-eyed fans will notice that the family portrait isn’t quite complete: it appears Phil Dunphy actor Ty Burrell was unable to attend the festive occasion. The family solution? Paying tribute to him with a framed photo of Phil wearing his headphones.

The cast of “Modern Family” reunited (minus one).

The gang not only held up the framed photo in the cast reunion photo — which also features series creators Christopher Lloyd and Steve Levitan — but also shared a video of them lamenting Burrell’s absence while wearing a toast to the photo on the mantle. If only Phil Dunphy’s telepresence robot were real.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who spent 11 seasons playing Mitchell Pritchett, shared additional photos on Instagram, including photos of each family faction reunited. An image in his carousel shows the entire Dunphy clan, sans Burrell – including Julie Bowen (Claire), Sarah Hyland (Haley), Ariel Winter (Alex), Nolan Gould (Luke).

The next one features the OG Pritchetts – Vergara (Gloria), Ed O’Neill (Jay) and Rico Rodriguez (Manny), although a later addition to the family, Jeremy Maguire (who played little Joe), was missing.

Another photo depicts Ferguson with his MF daughter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons (Lily) and her husband, Eric Stonestreet (Cam).

“Nearly perfect @modernfamily reunion,” Ferguson captioned the slideshow.

Created and produced by Levitan and Lloyd, Modern family began in 2009 and followed the lives of three diverse families living in the suburbs of Los Angeles. They quickly became some of television’s favorite characters, with the long-running ABC sitcom winning 22 Emmy Awards, including five for Outstanding Comedy Series. The entire cast has remained close since the series ended in 2020, with Ferguson and Vergara often posting updates via mini family reunions.
