Sofia Vergara says this year has been ‘tough’ due to her divorce from Joe Manganiello, but she’s ‘excited’ for 2024…amid romance with Justin Saliman

Sofia Vergara is looking forward to a fresh start in 2024.

The actress, who split from actor Joe Manganiello this summer after seven years of marriage, opened up about her recent challenges at the launch party for her new sunscreen product Toty on Thursday in Los Angeles.

“I don’t know if I’m fresh yet, but I’m just excited,” the actress told People. “I hope so,” adding, “I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a fresh start at 51.”

The Modern Family alum told the outlet that 2023 has been “a very interesting year.”

“I don’t want to say ‘bad’ or anything like that, but it’s been very interesting and very difficult.”

The America’s Got Talent judge went on to say that she wasn’t the only one in her circle who had a tough time.

“I got divorced this year,” she explained, without mentioning her new boyfriend, orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.

She plays the title character in the series about a woman who becomes a notorious drug lord known as Black Widow.

“I’m starting the world press tour right after the New Year, so I’m ready for that. It’s going to be exciting,” she maintained.

Sofia also worked as an executive producer on the six-episode series.

“I have a lot of plans for next year and I hope people like it too,” she said.

Coming back to the purpose of the evening, the multi-talented actress said: “I’m excited for Toty.”

She launched the beauty line in collaboration with Cantabria Labs over the summer.

The company is named after the childhood nickname his late brother gave him. The timeless beauty said her new line “has been working really well since we started and people love it because it’s a really good quality product.”

“These products are incredible, I swear, and they are scientifically tested,” she said.
