Shirtless burglar stole $150,000 in jewelry and fruit snacks from Atlanta couple’s home, police say – WSB-TV Channel 2


ATLANTA — Atlanta police are looking for a man they believe broke into an Atlanta couple’s home and stole more than $150,000 of their belongings.

Surveillance video shows the shirtless man jumping over the back fence of the house on Cedar Chase Drive. The video shows him peering into the house from the back porch before breaking down the door.

Less than 15 minutes later, he is seen on a camera attached to the front door walking out with the couple’s property.

The couple reported $150,000 in stolen jewelry, including an engagement ring, wedding band, diamond ring, diamond bracelet and diamond necklace. They say he also stole an ESP LTD green guitar, black diaper bag, Amazon Kindle tablet, set of keys, fruit snacks and chips from Welch.

According to police, the suspect also left some of his personal belongings behind to replace those he stole.


Officers found the suspect’s black backpack on the back patio where he entered the house. Inside the backpack, investigators found a pink iPad, a roll of toilet paper with blood on it, and other items. It is not known if the blood belongs to the suspect.

Detectives were unable to obtain fingerprints from the house. They are still working to identify the suspect.
