Sex And The City fans are in for a treat as Kim Cattrall is set to reprise her role as Samantha Jones in sitcom spin-off And Just Like That.
This confirmed that Cattrall would be back to face him sex and the city role in the second season of the show Max.
The star is only set to appear in one scene, and sources say Cattrall filmed her dialogue on March 22 in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the show’s stars – including Sarah Jessica Parker.
During the show’s first season, Carrie contacted Samantha via text, and during the finale, the two planned to see each other to make amends.
Between 1998 and 2004, Cattrall played public relations manager Samantha for six series of Sex And The City.
The second season of And Just Like That… will debut on June 22 and will also see the return of John Corbett as Aidan Shaw and Candice Bergen as Enid Frick.
What is the quarrel about?
Cattrall was not part of the revival series and publicly stated that she was done with the show amid an alleged feud with star Parker.
In 2018, Cattrall published a Instagram post after announcing the death of his brother Christopher Cattrall.
The post read, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @SarahJessicaParker.”
“My mom asked me today ‘when will @SarahJessicaParker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’
“Your continued contact is a painful reminder of how cruel you were then and now.
“Let me be VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I am writing to tell you one last time to stop exploit our tragedy in order to restore your ‘good girl persona.’

In 2022, Cattrall also told Variety that she wasn’t asked to join And Just Like That…, adding that she was also ready to say goodbye to Samantha after filming Sex And The City 2 because her character did not progress.
Later that year, Parker said Cattrall had never been approached for the HBO reboot as she opened up about the rift in their relationship.
In 2017, speaking in an interview with Piers Morgan, Cattrall addressed the tension between her and Parker, “I think she could have been nicer,” she said.
“I really think she could have been nicer. I don’t know what her problem is.”
When the spin-off show was announced, Parker said of Cattrall’s absence: “We didn’t ask her to be a part of this because she made it clear that it wasn’t something she wanted to sue, and it wasn’t comfortable for us anymore, and so it didn’t cross our minds,” the 58-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter.
And Just Like That premiered in December 2021 and became a major hit for HBO Max.
The show became the service’s most-watched premiere to date.
