Several people in Nebraska were infected by salmonella-contaminated cantaloupe
A cantaloupe recall is in effect after dozens of people fell ill in 15 states, including four people in Nebraska. Products likely to be contaminated with salmonella were sold between October 16 and November 10. The recall includes whole and pre-cut cantaloupes, cubes, melon mixes and fruit mixes from the Malichita, Vinyard and ALDI brands. Investigators are trying to find any other cantaloupe products that may have been contaminated. No deaths have been reported, but several people have been hospitalized.
