Seth Rogen got high before Adele’s TV special and freaked out completely

Seth Rogen has some questions for Adele – or at least for its marketing team.
The actor told Jimmy Fallon When he first received an invitation to the CBS event from the “One Night Only” singer on Wednesday, he felt like it was “Adele’s little concert.”
With that assumption in mind, Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller made the joint decision (sorry) to “smoke a ton of weed” before the show.
But when the couple arrived at Griffith Park in Los Angeles and saw film crews, TV cranes, and drones, they realized their presumptions of an intimate spectacle might have been half-baked (sorry again). However, Rogen said he still had a silver lining that the event was not the spectacle it appeared to be.
“And then the first person I see is Oprah Winfrey,” Rogen said of the media mogul whose interview with Adele was featured during the televised concert. “And I was like ‘Oh no I think this is a big TV special.'”
“And then me and my wife were like, ‘OK, maybe [we can] sneak into the background? You know, like we were sitting in the back and it was good. We are not mentally equipped to do this now. So we go up to the office, they give us our tickets and our seat numbers are literally 1A and 1B. And I’m like, ‘Oh, no! It seems close! ” ”
The pot entrepreneur then got pretty blunt (we love puns, okay?)
“The whole time I just tried to look cool, which isn’t a healthy thought to have,” Rogen said. “And for me at Adele, it was hard for me to look cool because I’m uncomfortable. I’m too close.
He also wondered why he got front row seats when there were “so many more famous people here than me who should be seated where I am sitting”.
“And I could just feel them being insulted because I had such a good seat,” Rogen said. “I was in front of Drake! There’s no world I should be in front of Drake.
He noted that Ellen DeGeneres and Kris Jenner were also sitting further back.
“I feel like Leonardo DiCaprio is behind me thinking, ‘Did Seth Rogen write’ Rolling in the Deep? ‘ Is that why he is so close? ‘ “
The thing that seemed to baffle Rogen the most about his seats at the concert, however, is that he doesn’t even know Adele personally.
“I have never met [her]”said Rogen.” I don’t know Adele! Adele, [if] you look at this, why did you do that?
Rogen’s stoned confusion was seen by 9.9 million viewers when it aired on November 14; “One Night Only” was the most watched entertainment special since the 2020 Oscars, Variety reported.
“I think it’s the most popular thing I’ve been in my entire life,” Rogen said. “Like, there are people I know who haven’t watched my last five movies that texted me, like, ‘You were amazing at that Adele gig. It looked amazing! ‘”
