Sébastien Cauet targeted by a complaint and new testimonies, reveals “L’Obs”

HARASSMENT – The media storm around Cauet does not abate. This Tuesday, November 21, The Obs publishes an investigation revealing new testimonies against the star host of NRJ, already accused for several weeks on X (formerly Twitter) of having sent messages of a sexual nature to a minor.

Among these stories, there is that of Julie. Now a medical secretary, she says she was raped by Sébastien Cauet twice, including the first time in 2014 in a hotel room in Geneva. She was then 16, he was 42.

“ He sat down next to me, he removed the button of his pants and lowered them slightly a few centimeters while taking out his penis. she explains in the columns of The Obs, before indicating that he then asked her for oral sex. Which she would have ended up accepting, under pressure. She says he forced her to perform oral sex on him again in 2022, in a parking lot.

The Obs, according to whom Julie filed a complaint for rape with the gendarmerie of Saint-Laurent-sur-Saône, in Ain, also collected six other testimonies. Aude (whose first name has been changed), aged 21 at the time of the facts she denounces and which allegedly occurred in 2012, says she was pushed against a wall by Cauet in his dressing room, which he had locked , urging him to give him a kiss.

A former collaborator of Cauet speaks

Mathilde, Cauet’s listener at the time when he was on Skyrock, would have gotten into the host’s car after a show. In the parking lot, he then allegedly unbuttoned his pants so that she could perform oral sex on him. Which she would have refused. She says to herself, today, “ready to go and testify openly in court, to support Julie”.

Often cited by interlocutors of The ObsAngélique Payet, a former collaborator of Cauet, assures “ not having seen anything » at the time, but recognizes that“a person who does not work at Be Aware (the host’s production company, editor’s note) came to see (her) at the time of #balancetonporc, about inappropriate messages”.

Texts, photos and supporting documents, the weekly explains that the sexual jokes, which are commonplace on the air, continue behind the scenes and in particular in the host’s team, where the atmosphere would be ” hypersexualized “.

These comments reach us when in mid-October, an account on X followed by nearly 150,000 subscribers shared screenshots of WhatsApp messages of a sexual nature which came, it claimed, from a discussion between Cauet and a minor young woman. Since then, an Internet user has presented herself as the recipient of the incriminating messages and made the same accusations. Other users of the network then also claimed to have had sexual exchanges with Cauet, again when they were still minors.

Cauet files a complaint

“I am deeply shocked by the accusations made against me here. These allegations are completely false”, Cauet retorted, on this same social network. The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office immediately indicated, Friday, November 17, that two complaints for “harassment of a person by means of a public online communication service” had been submitted by the facilitator.

The first was sent by mail on November 14 through his lawyer at the Paris public prosecutor’s office and the second the next day at the Boulogne-Billancourt police station, in Hauts-de-Seine. An investigation was entrusted to the brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person, according to the public prosecutor.

A known figure in radio humor for thirty years and his debut on Fun Radio in the 90s, Cauet experienced the peak of his popularity at the time of his talk show in the second part of the evening on TF1, The Cauet method (between 2003 to 2008).
