Sea World Horror as two helicopters collide in mid-air at theme park

Four people have died with several in critical condition following a helicopter crash near Australia’s Sea World on the Gold Coast, reports say.

Three people are now in hospital fighting for their lives while police have confirmed that four people have already died as a result of the accident.

The accident happened on January 1 around 3 p.m. (AEDT). Six people are also being treated for minor injuries, according to a 9 Report.

Queensland Police Inspector Gary Worrell said the three people who were rushed to hospital were all from the same helicopter.

He also praised members of the public who tried to help after the crash.

Worrell said: “One cell had the windshield removed and it landed safely on the island. The other cell crashed and it was upside down.

“Members of the public and the police tried to move people away and they started first aid and tried to get these people to safety out of the cell which was upside down.”

It’s an ongoing story.
