Sainte-Croix Lake is at its lowest

The Lac de Sainte-Croix is ​​also affected by this phenomenon since this season, there should be six meters more water. “July-August, we will have to have a lot of people in a part of the gorges which is quite small”explains a boat rental company.

Because of this lack of water, some places are not very passable by hikers who devote themselves to pedal boats. Prevention is therefore important to warn tourists not to go too far into the gorge. “We didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s true that it still seems very low to us. These gorges are so magnificent. (…) If we can no longer go there to see all that, that would be a real shame”laments a woman. The surrounding businesses are afraid of seeing fewer holidaymakers.
