Republicans demand Biden disclose ‘total dollar amount’ of taxpayer money funding

Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) benefit from millions in taxpayer-funded grants to facilitate illegal immigration across the United States, say Reps. Lance Gooden (R-TX) and Jim Jordan (R-OH).

In a letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Board’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), Gooden and Jordan demanded full accounting of all taxpayer-funded grants. that have been granted to NGOs.

“The wave of illegal immigration, fueled in part by NGOs like those of the EFSP National Council, is unsustainable and unfair to law-abiding citizens and immigrants,” Gooden said in a statement.

The EFSP was originally created to help homeless Americans.

In particular, Gooden and Jordan called out United Way Worldwide for its lucrative funding through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which provides assistance to illegal aliens.

“…United Way and similar organizations receive millions of taxpayer dollars to provide free food, housing, and transportation to undocumented aliens across the United States,” a press release read.

Gooden and Jordan said they are concerned about the “misuse and fraud” of taxpayers’ money to NGOs that help illegal immigration because FEMA provides little or no oversight of such grants.

“We urge these organizations to prioritize transparency and financial accountability,” Gooden said. “We will remain vigilant in our oversight of federal grants, to guard against any misuse of funds that could further escalate the current border crisis.”

More recently, as Breitbart News reported, records obtained by America First Legal Foundation show that Martha’s Vineyard NGOs were apparently reimbursed by the EFSP when two planes full of illegal aliens were flown to the coastal island. elite last year by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).

Illegal immigration imposes an enormous burden on American taxpayers. Each year, taxpayers are billed over $143 billion due to millions of illegal aliens residing in the United States.

This amount, however, does not include any of the social and economic costs – such as rising house prices, falling wages, loss of jobs, increased crime and pressure on public resources in hospitals and schools – which are associated with illegal immigration.
