Rapper Big Sean has officially left Kanye West’s (now known as Ye) label GOOD Music.

Sean confirmed his departure on social media following the release of What You Expect, a collaborative EP with Hit-Boy released on October 29.

“By the way, this is the first project where I’m also on my own label,” he wrote. “No more shit mate !!!! I worked! #DONLIFE”, he wrote.

He added that he still maintains a “brotherhood” with Ye’s label but that the decision to split up was made from a business perspective and he “had to start getting a bigger share.”

Sean signed to the label in 2007 and released five solo albums via GOOD Music, including Finally Famous, Hall Of Fame, Dark Sky Paradise, I Decided and Detroit 2, as well as TWENTY88 with Jhené Aiko and Double Or Nothing with Metro Boomin.

Additionally, the rapper released Last Famous Vol. 3: BIG and Detroit across the footprint.

Yes who officially changed his name on October 19, founded the label in 2004 and signed an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with The Island Def Jam Music Group in 2011.

Artists signed to the label include current president Pusha T, Common, John Legend, Kid Cudi and Q-Tip.
