QAnon Shaman’s mother fires feds after new video shows convict ‘escorted’ around Capitol

The mother of the ‘QAnon Shaman’ arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot proclaimed her son’s innocence after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., shared a videotape with ” Tucker Carlson Tonight” from that day – some of which shows Jacob Chansley walking through the Capitol unhindered by law enforcement.
“What was it – it’s a horrible thing to say, it’s horrible,” Martha Chansley told “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
When asked how she felt knowing that the United States government and President Biden’s administration had ‘hidden evidence’ that could be considered exculpatory in her case, in which he was charged with multiple crimes , including civil disorder, obstructing a process, violently entering, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, Chansley said it was very “upsetting.”
“It should have come out two years ago. should have come out two years ago. He is an innocent man. Everything that [Jacob] says he did is true – that he walked through open doors. He was escorted through the halls of the Senate.”

Jacob Chansley, who became famous shirtless and donned face paint and a cocked hat while carrying an American flag on the day Congress certified President Biden’s election victory, has been described as the leader of the pro rioters -Trump who violently attacked Capitol police officers and defaced the Capitol Building.
Chansley said her son was escorted away peacefully by law enforcement in part because he offered to help them after seeing other people inside the building.
Jacob Chansley was ultimately sentenced to 41 months, or about 3½ years in prison, according to documents from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

The Chansleys’ new attorney William Shipley slammed former attorney Albert Watkins – who appeared with Carlson earlier this week – saying the defendant didn’t have many options after sentencing.

“It was an out-of-court plea deal. I’ve been doing this for 35 years. I immediately admitted what Watkins had done wrong. Watkins had to plead guilty before the government was even ready to say he had produced The whole video. The government of August 2021 was still telling the judges: “We have not been able to provide all the evidence to the defense lawyers, so please do not set a date of trial”.
Watkins had called Jacob Chansley’s prison sentence a “tragedy” and a “stab in the heart of our American justice system”.
