PSV Eindhoven star Ibrahim Sangare ‘stormed’ his car in ‘furious’ reaction to Ruud van Nistelrooy’s resignation

Ibrahim Sangare was reportedly ‘furious’ when he learned Ruud van Nistelrooy had resigned as PSV Eindhoven boss.

Although he has won the KNVB Cup and the Johann Cruyff Shield this season, scenes off the pitch are said to have prompted his departure.

Reports claim that some players had become unhappy with Van Nistelrooy’s management style.

He was also frustrated with the club’s transfer activities in January as key players Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke left for Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

For a PSV star though, the news was by no means what he wanted to hear.

According to ESPN reporter Milan von Dongen, Sangare ‘angrily’ walked to his car when he learned of the Dutchman’s departure.

He said: “They had to take him out of there to get him back. He was furious with Van Nistelrooy’s departure. So there will be discussions within the player group as well.”

Van Nistelrooy joined PSV in 2022 following his roles as head coach in the club’s youth teams.

He led them to domestic cup success, as well as the Europa League knockout stages.

They are also set to finish 2nd in the Eredivisie behind recently crowned champions Feyenoord.

PSV have just one game left this season, but Van Nistelrooy will not be on the sidelines following his resignation.
